These waves of migrants are only tiny ripples compared with what will happen in future years because every two seconds five more babies are born than people die. A few were determined to destroy European democracies and impose their own totalitarian form of government. Most of them were fleeing wars or tyranny, and they deserve a sympathetic welcome, but many were simply seeking a better life.
